Our team would like to wish a warm welcome to SockHwee Tan. SockHwee is a returning student, currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Health Psychology at Victoria University of Wellington. Her research examines life course trajectories using the narratives of older immigrants in Aotearoa. Her particular interest centers around the construction of racial identity and how this relates to older people’s agency. She hopes that this information can facilitate migrant wellbeing in Aotearoa and mitigate negative outcomes in their old age.
