Our research team are occasionally asked to present our findings to researchers, policy makers, and other stakeholders working in the field of ageing and migration. The presentations, abstracts, and and other conference outputs are made accessible here to our participants and the general population.

International Academy for Intercultural Research Early Career Award presentation 2022

A/Prof Ágnes Szabó received the Early Career Award and gave a presentation on redefining ageing well in the context of migration at the International Academy for Intercultural Research in Switzerland in July 2022.

The Ageing Migrants in Aotearoa Policy Seminar 2022

The first Ageing Migrants in Aotearoa Policy Seminar was held on Friday 28th October 2022 in Wellington. Three of our researchers and a guest speaker (Polly Yeung, Massey University) presented research findings in the field of ageing and migration. 

Lecture at Wenzhou-Kean University 2024

At the Wenzhou-Kean University, Dr. Ágnes Szabó gave a talk about the Growing Old in an Adopted Land project.

Digital technologies for older people (DigiTechOP) online series expert talk 2026

A/Prof Ágnes Szabó gave a presentation on how changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the ways in which migrants keep in touch with family and friends at home and discussed the links between digital communication technologies and wellbeing in older migrants.
